School Procedures
Lockers
Each student is issued with a steel locker, but will need to supply a sturdy padlock. Padlocks need to be of double-ridge variety, not single. Personal property is to be kept in lockers, which should be locked at all times. A fee to cover the cost of maintenance is charged for the use of lockers. Bolt cutters are used if keys are lost or left repeatedly at home.
Money should not be placed in lockers. Large sums of money should be handed to the General Office or Level Coordinator for safekeeping. Valuable items should not be brought to school. No responsibility will be taken for money and valuables left in lockers.
The Department of Education and Training does not insure private property in the school. Parents may decide to take out an insurance policy on their child’s books, equipment and hired musical instruments. Insurance of musical instruments is strongly recommended.
